# API reference

> Base URL, authentication and conventions.

**Base URL:** `https://api.rubicourt.com`

* **Authentication:** every request needs `Authorization: Bearer <your API key>`. See [Authentication](https://docs.rubicourt.com/platform/authentication.md).
* **Format:** JSON in and out, except file uploads (multipart) and award PDFs.
* **Money:** amounts are integers in cents, USD.
* **Ids:** dispute and case endpoints accept either the id or the reference (`RD-2026-000001`, `RC-2026-000001`).
* **Machine-readable description:** [`https://api.rubicourt.com/v1/openapi.json`](https://api.rubicourt.com/v1/openapi.json) (OpenAPI 3.1).

The endpoints are grouped into **Resolve** (policies and disputes) and **Arbitration** (cases).
